(3) A person in respect of whom directions are given under subsection (2) may be placed under the authority of an immigration

officer or police officer on board any ship or aircraft in which

he is to be removed in accordance with the directions.

(4) A person in respect of whom a removal order or a

deportation order is in force may be removed by land to

(a) a country of which he is a national or a citizen; or

(b) a country or territory to which the Director has reason

to believe that he will be admitted,

and for that purpose may be taken in the custody of an immigration

officer or police officer to the place at which he is to be removed.

(5) The Colonial Secretary may apply in or towards payment

of the expenses of or incidental to

(a) the voyage from Hong Kong of a person in respect of whom

a removal order or a deportation order is in force; or

(b) the maintenance until departure of such a person and

his dependants, if any,

any money belonging to that person; and except so far as they are

paid as aforesaid the expenses of or incidental to the removal

from Hong Kong of a person in respect of whom a removal order or

a deportation order is in force shall be met from moneys provided

by the Legislative Council.
