nouakchott reception marks inauguration of mauritania-china friendship association
nouakchott, august 22 (nsinhua) - the mauritania-china friendship association was formally founded here on august 18 for the furtherance of the relations of friendly cooperation between mauritania and china. abdoul aziz sall, responsible member of the permanent committee of the national political bureau, and secretary of organization and information,
of the mauritanian people's party, gave a reception on august 19 to mark the inauguration of the association.
present at the reception were mohamed ould knattry outd segane, president of the mauritania-china friendship association; branim ould ahmed soueid, vice-president of the association; and other leading members of the association.
also present were mauritanian minister of external affairs handi ould mouknass and mauritanian ambassador to china mohamed ould sidi ali. chin min-sheng, charge d'affaires ad interim, and other members of the chinese embassy here also attended the reception.
a warm atmosphere of friendship between china and mauritania prevailed on the occasion. minister mouknass and charge d'affaires ad interim chin min-sheny spoke at the reception.
minister mouknass said that the mauritania-cnına friendsnin association was founded under conditions of daily strengthened ties of friendship and cooperation between mauritania and china and under the leadership of the mauritanian people's party and government. the founding of the association marked the entry into a new stage of the relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries. minister mouknass proposed toasts to the health of chairman mao and to the continued growth of mauritania-china friendship.
charge d'affaires a.1. chin min-sheng stressed that the relations between china and mauritania were steadily growing on the basis of the five principles of peaceful co-existence. he expressed the conviction that the mauritania-china friendship association would contribute to the development of the relations between the two countries. he proposed toasts to the constant development of the relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries and to the health of president ould daddah.
