CHINESE RED CROSS DONATIONS

I enclose a list, as requested, of all gifts by the Chinese Red Cross which we have been able to trace from January 1968 to date. The date in all cases is that of the announcement carried by the New China News Agency. In the majority of cases, such gifts have been made to the Red Cross/Crescent Society of the country concerned. The only exceptions are 1) June 1968 to the Afro-Asian- American Association of Guyana. 2) September 1969 to the Somali Ministry of the Interior 3) March 1970 to the Sudan "Freedom from Thirst Campaign" 4) June 1971 to the Government of Chad, and 5) August 1971 to the Hong Kong and Kowloon Federation of Trade Unions and the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce.
