HONG KONG DEFENCE CONTRIBUTION
1. At their meeting on 23 July, the Defence &
Overseas Policy Committee decided that the Governor
of Hong Kong should be instructed to do his utmost
to secure
the
Cortion of his executive Council

in n obtaining/from the Hong Kong Government a
contribution of £8 million a year towards the costo-
of the Colony's garrison over the next five years.
