E and AD request for papers on the Hong Kong Defence Contribution.

I can confirm that if there were any possibility of comment on the particular correspondence being made public e.g. in the C & AG's report, your Department would have the opportunity of examining it. There would of course in any event be some preparatory enquiry from E and AD to one or the other of our Departments if they were thinking of asking any questions on this particular subject.
