Equipment for Technical hostitutes.
You asked whether the capital and recurrent expenditure of £500,000 and £350,000 respectively, refered to in Hong Kong, telegram No. 115° of 22 February, relate to one Technical hustitite or to the proposed four hustatutes,
We have no details whatever about the size of the new Technical hustitute (3) and there are no papers which give any close.
Since, however, a figure of £125,000 (a quarter of Hong Kong's capital cost estimili) seams a rather small amount for the cost of one Techincanl histatude, I am inclined to think that Hong Kong intend to refer to the costs of only one institute When quoting their "very tough" figures,
On the other hand, paragraph to of the telegram reads "Furthermore whether or not the whole additional four nistitutes are finally built...." and thes could imply that the "prepares in paragreble & refer to the four additional mistitutes.
To sum up, it would seem that, unters each new Technical histatute is to be a small affair, the
Cost's quoted are for each hustitute,
