Executive decision

THE GOVERNMENT has still not made up its mind on the four proposed technical institutes, it was revealed at yesterday's Legislative Council mecting.

The Commissioner of Labour, Mr R.M. Hetherington, said that the matter would soon go before the Executive Council for a decision.

Mr HJ.C. Browne asked whether the Industrial Training, Advisory Committee had yet published its report.

Il no, he wondered when it would be published and what action was to be taken on it.

Mr Hetherington said that the report was presented to the Governor, Sir David Trench, on March 31.

It was being studied by Government departments and organisations, and would be published as soon as possible because of intense public interest.
