for registration of a change in a union's name. Section 16 amends section 30(1) of the principal Ordinance so as to allow only voting members of a union to vote for an amalgamation.

9. Section 17 substitutes "clerks" for "employees", in consequence of the changes to the interpretation section. The funds of a union may be used for the payment of fines imposed on it. The Governor is made the approving authority for the purposes of para- graphs (j) and (1), instead of the Governor in Council.

10. Section 21 amends section 46 of the principal Ordinance so as to exclude the right to picket a person's private residence, unless he also carries on business there.

Section 26 amends section 63 of the principal Ordinance by providing that a notice of cancellation under section 11 of the principal Ordinance shall be deemed to have been served on the union if the Registrar has, in addition to serving the notice, published the notice in the Gazette.

12. Section 29 adds a new Schedule setting out the offences specified for the purposes of section 17(3) of the principal Ordinance. Section 30 renumbers the Schedule to the principal Ordinance as the Second Schedule and adds thereto a new rule relating to the safe custody of a union's seal.

13. The Bill was the subject of correspondence with the Secretary of State, whose agreement was conveyed in his Saving Despatch 240 of 3rd July, 1970, and his telegram No. 700 of 14th October and 734 of 29th October.
