1. I have the honour to acknowledge receipt of your despatch
No 289 of 15 April concerning "An Ordinance to amend the Trade
Union Registration Ordinance", and to inform you that the power
of disallowance will not be exercised in respect of the above-
I welcome the amendment to Section 17 of the
mentioned Ordinance.
Principal Ordinance which appears to meet the request of the
International Labour Organisation's Committee of Experts regarding
Convention 84. I note, however, that the position in regard to
Convention No 87 is unchanged.
