(i) Operational
Malaysia was inspected last year.
Prior to this
inspection the post put forward proposals of its
own for economies which seemed to imply a reduction
of capability to a level barely commensurate with
the tasks it might be thought useful to perform.
The Inspectors however accepted the proposals
concerned without modification and they have now
been implemented.
(ii) Future Developments
The political stance of Malaysia in South East
Asia, and her external relations generally, are
undergoing considerable change. These may have
implications for our information policy.
