I have the honour to inform you that I have appointed Mr G. M. B. Salmon, J. P., provisionally and subject to Her Majesty's pleasure, to be temporarily an Unofficial Member of the Executive Council during the absence from the Colony of Mr J. D. Clague, C. B. E., M. C., Q. P. M., T.D., J. P. The appointment will take effect from 31st May 1971.

Mr Salmon is an Unofficial Member of the Legislative Council and this is his first appointment to the Executive Council.

Copies of the Instrument of Appointment and of the Gazette Notice promulgating Mr Salm on's appointment are attached.
