I have the honour to inform you that I have appointed Dr. G. CHOA Wing-ip, J. P., provisionally and subject to Her Majesty's pleasure, to be temporarily an Official Member of the Executive Council with effect from 12th July 1971 during the absence from the Colony of Mr. G.T. Rowe, J.P.

Dr. CHOA is the Director of Medical and Health Services and is a substantive Official Member of the Legislative Council.
