P., provisionally and subject to Her Majesty's pleasure, to be temporarily an Unofficial Member of the Executive Council with effect from 1st September 1971 during the absence from the Colony of Mr. S. S. Gordon, C. B. E., J. P.

Mr. Browne's previous appointment referred to in your despatch HKK 1/3 dated 11th June 1971 expired on 24th July 1971 consequent upon his departure from the Colony.
