Mr Collins will arrange a two and a half day programme in London which will cover both technical education and training for industry ie he suggested I should meet
Mr Metcalfe of the Engineering Industrial Training Board, also the Hon C M Woodhouse MP (the former Director of Education and Training in the CBI).

7. Mr Macoun suggested: Tokyo and Singapore. He particularly recommended Singapore.

8. Mr Gilbert doubted whether there was anywhere in the world with sufficient density of population to produce similar problems to those of Hong Kong. But he thought that if I was going there anyway I would find things which were of interest to see both in Japan and in Singapore. He suggested that we discussed this again after I had been briefed in London, and had read papers on Hong Kong.
