DEPARTMENTAL NOTICE

MINISTERIAL VISITS COMMITTEE

The Committee will hold its next meeting on Friday, 13 February at 3.00 p.m.

2.

Departments are asked to ensure, wherever possible, that any submissions they may be preparing on mini- sterial visits overseas reach the appropriate member of the Committee in time for the meeting. Where it is not possible to submit a final recommendation by that time, members of the Committee will be glad to receive interim briefing. I should be grateful to receive copies of all submissions and briefs.

3. I should also be grateful if I might be informed by mid-day on Monday, 9 February of the gist of any new proposals and of any modifications to or progress on proposals considered at the last meeting of the Committee (15 January); this is to enable me to prepare the Committee's agenda. Copies of submissions to members of the Committee will be more than sufficient if they are ready by 9 February: if they are not. I hope I may be given an outline of what is proposed by telephone by that time. It would also be of assistance to me if I could be informed of nil returns.
