Commonwealth Parliamentary “ssociation
Spring Parliamentary Visit: 1970
The Pirat of the two Parliamentary visita organized by the United Kingdom Branch of the C.P.A. for 1970 is to take place from ↳ March to 25 March. A list la attached of those Branchea of the Aasociation which have accepted an invitation to send a delegate. The name of the delegate is also given in most cases.
2. The object of the visit is to bring together in one group some twenty-four members from Branches of the Association around the Commonwealth for the purpose of mooting H.P.s at Westminster, scoing something or modern Britain and gaining wider experience of the outlook of other Commonwealth countrieg from discussione and in formal contact with their colleagues.
3. Delegatos are being naked to arrive on Tuesday, 3 March and will spend a few days in London before leaving on a tour of about tüm deys which will include visita to Bristol, Swansca and Oxford. The group will then return to London for a week of disccasions of current Commonwealth topics. It is hoped that a l'inister from the Office will be able to lend the course in its dls- cussion on "World Security Problems".
4. Copies of the programane are not yet to hand but I shall distribute these, with biographical notes of the delegateu, when I receive them from the U.K. Branch. (I have already written to our Poots concerned about this visit.)
