Before referring to the Board of Trade, it would be best to check with Hong Kong that the exemption provision in the Ordinance would apply in the case of the Pay's crews.
H Hong Kong tell us that there is no reason why exemption should not be granted in cases where British officers are not available, it would then be up to Worldwide Shiffung Htd. to apply for exemption and, at the same time, register their ships in Hong Kong.
