Mr. Pao and the World-Wide Shipping Company
There are two outstanding matters in connection with Mr. Pao and his Shipping Company.
2.
First, the question of the registration of Mr. Pao's
ships in Hong Kong. I suggest that Mr. Royle might now
write to Mr. Lee on the lines of the attached draft.
3. Second, Mr. Pao's invitation to Mrs. Royle to launch
a ship now building in Japan. Following my earlier
submission of 23 November, Mr. Wilford asked me to check
with the DTI to see what they thought about the proposal.
Their views are set out in their letter of 1 December.
