SECOND SCHEDULE.

Transitional provisions.
1.
In this Schedule
'commencement date" means the date on which this Ordinance come s
into operation;
"Deportation (British Subjects) Ordinance", "Deportation of Aliens
Ordinance" and "Immigration (Control and Offences) Ordinance"
mean respectively the Deportation (British Subjects) Ordin-
ance, the Deportation of Aliens Ordinance and the Immigration
(Control and Offences) Ordinance repealed by this Ordinance.
Section 5.
2. Section 5 shall have effect as if subsection (1) thereof
included a reference to a person who arrived in Hong Kong before
the commencement date, being a person who immediately before the
commencement date was being examined or further examined under
section 11 of the Immigration (Control and Offences) Ordinance or
was about to be so examined or further examined; and the provi-
sions of this Ordinance shall apply to any such person accordingly.
Section 6(4)(a).

The reference in subsection (4)(a) of section 6 to an
entry permit and a re-entry permit includes a reference to an
entry permit and a re-entry permit issued under the Immigration
(Control and Offences) Ordinance.
Section 7(1)(b).
4. Any conditions imposed in respect of a person who
entered Hong Kong before the commencement date under section 15
of the Immigration (Control and Offences) Ordinance and in force
immediately before that date (whether the same were imposed at
the time of entry of subsequent thereto) shall continue in force
and have effect as if they were landing conditions imposed under
subsection (1)(b) of section 7 of this Ordinance and notified to
