Immigration signals etc.
PART III.
Immigration procedure.
11. (1) The master of a ship shall, on the arrival of the
ship in Hong Kong, hoist the prescribed immigration examination
signal and shall keep the same hoisted until an immigration
officer permits him to lower it.
(2) An immigration officer may, on the arrival of a ship
im Hong Kong, require the master
(a) to anchor or moor the ship at such place as he may
specify; and
(b) to keep the ship at such place until he permits
otherwise.
(3) Except with the permission of an immigration officer,
no person other than a pilot or a public officer in the course
of his duty shall
(a) board or leave a ship which has arrived in Hong Kong;
or
(b) approach within thirty yards of any such ship,
until the immigration examination signal is lowered.
Returns to be furnished by masters of ships and commanders of aircraft, etc.
12. (1) The master of a ship shall
(a)
on the arrival of the ship in Hong Kong, furnish to
an immigration officer a list of the names and
nationalities of the crew and a list containing the
prescribed particulars of the passengers;
