he may require for the purposes of this Ordinance.
(7) The Director may give such directions as he considers
necessary for preventing any person from evading examination
under section 5.
(8) The Director of Immigration may exempt from paragraph
(b) of subsection (4) any person or any class or description of
persons.
(9) The powers conferred on an immigration officer by
section 5 or subsection (3) or (6) of this section may also be
exercised by any Government medical officer or any person carry-
ing out any test or examination required by any such medical
officer.
Refusal of permission and
conditional
7. (1) On the examination under section 5 of any person,
an immigration officer may -
permission.
(a)
refuse that person permission to land in Hong Kong; or
(b) permit him to land in Hong Kong subject to such land-
ing conditions as may be imposed by the immigration
officer.
(2) Subject to subsection (7), permission to land in Hong
Kong shall be deemed to be subject to the prescribed landing
conditions in addition to any landing conditions imposed under
subsection (1); and an immigration officer shall give notice to
any person of the prescribed conditions which apply in his case.
(3) In the case of a person who is a member of a party in
the charge of a responsible person, notice of any landing condi-
tion shall be deemed to be given to such person if it is given
