(c) to which an immigration officer has reason to believe

that that person will be admitted;

"travel document" means a valid passport furnished with a photo-

graph of the holder or some other document establishing to

the satisfaction of an immigration officer the identity and

nationality of the holder.

3. This Ordinance does not apply to

(a) a British subject who was born in Hong Kong;

(b)

a British subject whose father was born in Hong Kong;

(c)

a British subject by naturalization in Hong Kong; or

(d)

a serviceman.

Persons who belong to

Hong Kong.

4. (1) A person belongs to Hong Kong for the purposes of

this Ordinance if

(a) he is a British subject who has been ordinarily resid-

ent in Hong Kong for a continuous period of at least

ten years and has not during that time been absent

from Hong Kong for more than twenty-four months;

(b) she is the wife of a person who belongs to Hong Kong

by virtue of paragraph (a) and is not living apart

from him under a decree or order of a court or a deed

of separation;

(c) he is a child under the age of eighteen years of a

person who belongs to Hong Kong by virtue of para-

graph (a) or (b).
