I am directed to refer to your

memorandum to Mr. Anthony Royle, M.P., concerning

New Territories affairs, and am to reply as

follows :

(i) Land Policy

take place at regular intervals between

the Heung Yee Kuk and the New Territories

Administration on various aspects of land

policy including, inter alia, conversion

premia, re-entry and resumptions.

District Commissioner, New Territories to

the Heung Yee Kuk on certain aspects of

land policy (reference (29) in NT 1213/54C V

dated 28th July, 1969) and I do not think

I have anything to add to what is said there.

I understand that, in respect of the

matters not covered in this letter, the

District Commissioner is likely to be

addressing you further in due course in

the light of the most recent discussions

on these matters.

(ii) Tourism

The Government of Hong Kong concurs

with your view that the New Territories

has a part to play in relation to tourists

visiting the Colony and the Tourist

Association is well aware of this fact.
