MR W. F. PICKERING APPOINTED
Her Majesty The Queen has been pleased to approve the appointment of Mr W. F. Pickering as Puiane Judge in Hong Kong.
Mr Pickering was born on December 4th, 1915. He was educated at Panton College, Lincolnshire, and Victoria University, Manchester. He graduated in 1937 with an LL.B. (First Class Honours). Degree and was admitted as a Solicitor in 1938 and called to the Bar (Gray's Inn) · în 1963. He was appointed to the Colonial Legal Service as a Magistrate in Hong Kong in August, 1955. He was promoted to Senior_Magis- trate in July, 1959, and District Judge in July, 19627
