jurisdiction while he was a member of the Court. A condition in this form would continue to operate in the event of the Judge's being transferred to another territory.

6. It is not, in my view, either practicable or necessary to make a similar stipulation on the appointment of Magistrates.

7. I should be glad if you would confirm that you agree to the proposal made in paragraph 5 of this despatch. In that event you will no doubt ensure that action is taken accordingly whenever an offer of appointment to a Judgeship is made in the territory under your administration.

8. This circular has not been addressed to the governments of Antigua, Montserrat, St. Kitts-Nevis, Virgin Islands, Malta and St. Helena. It has been sent to the High Commissioner, Federation of Malaya, under cover of a separate despatch.
