If however, there are political difficulties which prevent the introduction of an ANZUK structure then we would have to fall back on parallel UK and ANZ structures in which some of the advantages of economy arising from logistic and administrative integration would be lost.

You will note also that we recommend that, if a battalion is kept in Brunei, it should after 1971 come under the command

of CBF Hong Kong.
