suitable both for those who leave school at 15

and for those who continue to further education

of one kind or another.

The Association does not anticipate the early

disappearance of the Secondary School Entrance

Examination since it is evident that for many

years some form of selection will be necessary.

Nevertheless it feels that ways should be sought

to facilitate transfers between different types

of schools at the ages of 12 and 15 with the aim

of providing more nearly equal opportunities to

children of all abilities.
