The draft paper on Hong Kong which you
circulated on 22 July has been seen by Departments
in the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and suggested
revisions to paragraphs 1
are attached.
These bring statistics up to date. A suggested
revised paragraph 9 is also attached.
2. The broadening of the scope of the Cotton
Textile long-term arrangement to include man-
made fibre textiles would be of great assistance
to Hong Kong and I trust you will be able to
mention this possible change in your paper.
