As you know it is the intention to abandon the quota restrictions on imports of cotton textiles on 1 January 1972 and to introduce from that date a new tariff
Most of the arrangements on imports of these goods from the Commonwealth.
covering the present restraints are due to end on 31 December 1970 and we have been giving some thought to the mechanics of extending the quota agreements to 31 December 1971.
So far as Hong Kong is concerned we propose to write to Mr Cater in Hong Kong
