I have to inform you, on the instructions of Her Majesty's Principal Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, that the Government of the United King

of Great Britain and Northern Ireland accept, in respect

of the United Kingdom and Hong Kong, the Protocol extending the Long Term Arrangement for cotton textiles, drawn up by the Cotton Textiles Committee at its meeting in Geneva on the 27th of May, 1970. It is the understanding of the Government of the United Kingdom that this acceptance is

subject to amintenance of the Protocol relating to the United Kingdom reservation attached to the original

Arrangement..
