With reference to your Minute of 24th September I have today received the attached letter dated 25th September from Mr. McCusker. Fortunately Mr. Jenkins is out of the country but there is just a possibility that Mr. Gibson may raise the question of Mr. Becker's dismissal with Mr. Royle at the meeting on Thursday 1st October. I suggest, therefore, that we prepare ourselves with the latest information from Hong Kong; draft telegram attached.
