We have now received a letter from Mr. Victor
Feather about this.
2. I have spoken to Mr. Eaton, the Legal Adviser who
is dealing with the matter, and he tells me that he
hopes to discuss the Bill with Mr. Steel within the
next few days and to let us have their considered views
some time next week. Meanwhile, he has, I gather, sent the papers to Mr. Foggon for tomorrow's meeting with Messrs Gibson and Greenhalgh.
3. I suggest that Mr. Royle might send an interim
reply to Mr. Feather on the lines of the attached draft.
