Section 9 of the principal Ordinance is amended -
(a)
by deleting subsection (1) and substituting the
Deleted
following -
"(1) The provisions of this Ordinance,
other than the provisions of section 45, shall
apply -
(a) to a trade union in respect of which
application for registration has been
made in accordance with section 5;
(b) to a trade union which is exempted
from registration under subsection
(4A) of section 5,
in like manner as if the trade union had been duly
registered:
Provided that
(i)
upon service by the Registrar upon
any of the applicants for registra-
tion of a notice of refusal to
register; qr
(ii)
upon service by the Registrar upon
any of the applicants for exemption
from registration of a notice of
refusal to exempt; or
(iii) upon the expiration of the period
of exemption,
the provisions of this Ordinance shall cease so
to apply to the trade union.";
