Among the services, he listed the Local Employment Service, which

last year helped place 1,850 in jobs; the Youth Employment Advisory Service; the Apprenticeship Unit, which had introduced 250 young people to employers,

including 43 from the Centre; and the Labour Relations Service, whose aim

was to effect reconciliation between labour and management in disputes.
