CONTINUATION
If there is some doubt about this may I point out that I understand there is to be an urgent investigation and enquiry into the employment of child labour in Hong Kong. If the Department cannot control the employment I fail to see how it can control and enforse any conditions which may be included in the regulations concerning women and young persons.
I am asked by my Union to protest most strongly against this decision and proposal and ask that the suggested Legislation be withdrawn.
I look forward to seeing you on 17th March with my Colleagues, Mr. P. Pendergast and Mr. J. Greenhalgh,
Yours sincerely,
Hith Gibs
General Secretary.
