Thank you for your letter of 8 June about the visit of Haddon-Cave.
2. We are now in the position to give Haddon-Cave a broad outline of the arrangements but before we start drawing up a detailed programme I would be grateful if you would confirm with Hong Kong that they find our proposals acceptable. Our suggestions are as follows:-
3.
Monday 5 October to Friday 9 October
Monday 12 October to Friday 30 October
Monday 2 November to Friday 13 November
Monday 16 and Tuesday 17 November
Wednesday 18 November to Friday
20 November
- Foreign & Commonwealth
Office
Bank of England
Treasury
Civil Service Department
Board of Trade
I would be grateful if you would copy your reply to the other recipients of this letter in order that they may receive
the green light to draw up detailed programmes for Haddon-Cave's time with them based on the proposals above. I would hope to be able to be in a position to let Haddon-Cave have a detailed programme by the end of August. I am copying this letter to Haslem (Bank of England) Collier (Civil Service Department) and Brown (Board of Trade).

Yours sincerely
