CALL BY THE CHIINAGE CHANGE D'ASSAITES ON GIR S. TOMLINSON
WEDNESDAY, 4 NOVEMBER, AT 10.30 A.M
The Chinese have now confirmed that Mr. Ma will call on
Sir Stanley Tomlinson at 10.30 a.m. on 4 November. I submit
speaking notes on the release of the sick prisoners in Hong
Kong.

Mr. Ma may raise the question of the rebuilding of
Nos. 49 and 51 Portland Place, which he mentioned during his
meeting with Sir Stanley Tomlinson on 14 October.

after consultation with Protocol and Conference Department,
wo telophoned the Chinese Offico to ask for more information
about the stage which the Chinese had reached in their plan-
ning. The Chinese undertook to ring us back, but so far
have not done so.
