All prisoners employed in the cook house are through medical

examinatimincluding stool and blood tests prior to be allocated to the

Cook house to work.

The officer-in-charge of the cook house has received a hygiene

course. The cook house is inspected frequently by the Medical Officer,

by myself and other officers daily with regards to cleanness and hygiene.

The group of prisoners of which the deceased belonged, retained

there own eating utensils. The food was issued to them in bulk and they

themselves served to their individuals. The group in which the deceased

belonged consisted of 90 persons.

The washing out of utensil is their own responsibility we

have adequate water supplied hot and cold.

In the prison, each hold has toilets, and washing room.

There

are also flushing systems in the hold.
