Confrontation Prisoners
#EXT
REF.
Please refer to Chris Howell's letter CR 1/2856/69 of 14 July.
2. This is simply to say that I am pleased to hear that Hong Kong are not dismissing the possibility of releasing sick prisoners. While not at this stage wishing to re-open any Hong Kong/Peking debate, I know you will realise how keen we are to see an early reduction in the number of confrontation prisoners held. I hope that John Denson will be given an opportunity to see these papers.
3.
I am copying this letter to Chris Howells in Hong Kong.
