additional responsibilities and a recent

examination of Government's existing arrangements

in London showed a need for unified direction and

control.

9

officer with wide experience and knowledge of

Government's views and policies will be of

well as of help to the Foreign and Commonwealth

Office in London.

10

London Office has become the recognised outlet

and agency in Britain of the Information Services

Department in Hong Kong.

11

The first Administrative Commissioner

for the Government of Hong Kong in London is

Mr P.C.M. Sedgwick, CMG, who will be succeeded
