I am writing this letter in some haste in order to get this week's bag.
You will, I am sure, wish to know that your Personal Telegram No.19 about the Cross Harbour Tunnel tipped the scale in the direction of our intervention. I enclose a copy of a letter which Lord Shepherd wrote yesterday to Lord Brown, asking him to look at the matter once more, Or course I do not know what the outcome will be, but you will be glad to see that we are pressing for the whole issue to be thoroughly examined once again.
