DEFINITION OF "OFFICER" IN THE PUBLIC OFFICERS AGREEMENTS
(Kenya)
"officer" means an overseas officer or a non-designated officer.
"overseas officer" means a pensionable officer who was entitled to free overseas leave passages from East Africa and who
i.
ii.
was selected for appointment or whose appointment was approved by a Secretary of State or had entered into an Agreement with the Crown Agents to serve in Kenya; or
is or was a member of HMOCS or HMOJ or the Colonial Unified Service or is or was designated under OSAS.
"non-designated officer" means a pensionable officer not being an overseas officer who was entitled to free overseas leave passages from East Africa.
