Dear Cruchley,
Hong Kong Divorces
I have only a few, and very minor, points on the draft you sent me under cover of your letter of 1st October:-
RE EVED IN
R GITYM.51
- 8 OCT 1969
ARK 18
A/ Apant
(a)
In reciting the enabling powers, will you not have to be rather more specific and refer, e.g. to section 1(4) of the 1926 Act? The Scrutiny Committee is a good deal more particular now than it was in 1936! I should be inclined to say ".... conferred on him by section 1(4) of the [Act of 1926] as amended by section 1 of the [Act of 1950] and applied by [the Hong Kong Orders] ...
(1) Rule 14: do you not want a footnote
reference to the S.R.&0?
from the actual draft, there are more genera 1 points which may cause diffic lty and which you may care to put to the Hong Kong authorities:-
