Hong Kong (Non-Domiciled Parties) Divorce Rules
My Chief Justice is of the opinion that it would be useful to have the benefit of the new rules and would like to have them made as soon as possible not- withstanding the fact that they will no longer be appropriate after 1st January 1971. I agree with the suggestion contained in your saving despatch No. 458 that the rules should be made effective from 1/1/70.

2. In view of the impending changes in the English Law on divorce I should be grateful if you could also give consideration to amending the Colonial and Other Territories (Divorce Jurisdiction) Acts 1926- 1950 in order to reflect those changes.
