Referring to our telephone conversation this morning, I confirm that, if the Hong Kong (Non- Domiciled Parties) Divorce Rules 1969 are to become operative on 1 January 1970, I must receive the draft signed by the S. of S. for F.C.A. and the Lord Chancellor by 5 p.m. on Friday afternoon, 19 December, as Statutory Publications Office must receive the document for numbering and passing on to H.M.S.0. to print and sell on the operative date, by Monday next, 22 December.
2. I attach two further copies of the draft Rules, as you requested.
3. I also confirm the message I left for you with Mr.Marsh of your Dept on it. Recember, that
11 when the Lord Chancellor office require a copy of the brief you submit to the S. of 3. when asking him to sign the draft Rules.
