ATTORNEY GENERAL'S CHAMBERS

HONG KONG

30th December, 1969.

Sir Arthur Grattan-Bellew, K.C.M.G., Foreign and Commonwealth Office, King Charles Street,

LONDON, S.W.1.

Dear Anthon, Ar

Hong Kong Prevention of Bribery Bill.

I understand that the Governor left some copies of our latest draft of the above Bill at the F.C.O. when he called there for discussions in November.

I am informed that your first reaction to the redrafted Bill was generally favourable, save that you felt that there were two or three matters about which you would like to comment.

We should, if this is possible, like to be able to take this Bill to the Legislative Council fairly early in 1970. It would therefore be a great help to us if you were able to find time to send your comments within the near future.
