It is for consideration whether any further

pressure should be put on the unions at this stage in order to get them to comply with the law. The result of the H.K. Electric Co. Union elections next month should indicate whether or not there is a general swing towards compliance. The present committee has 16 "strikers" and one eligible. It is unlikely that all the "strikers" will be removed, but the number of eligible members can be expected to increase. It might well be that a warning letter from the R. T.U., couched in the same non-committal terms as his letter to the Gas Co. Union, would improve the chances of a shift towards legality.
