COLONIAL SECRETARIAT
LOWER ALBERT ROAD
HONG KONG
12th June, 1969.
Dean Deportment,
The Commissioner of the Royal Hong Kong Police Force and the Royal Hong Kong Auxiliary Police Force has raised a number of minor queries (which are set out on the appendix hereto), consequent upon the accord of the title "Royal" and the acceptance by Her Royal Highness Princess Alexandra of appointment as Honorary Commandant- General of both Forces.
The Commissioner is naturally anxious that all related details should be dealt with correctly, and since no definite information on some of these matters is available here advice from London is sought.
I trust that I am correct in believing that your Department offers the most direct approach.
It would be greatly appreciated if this matter may be treated as urgently as possible a commemorative issue of the Police Force Magazine is being prepared and all relevant material is anxiously awaited.
