Your Private Secretary wrote to me on 20th . September saying that you were not then in a position to let me know the outcome of discussions with the Governor of llong Kong about the proposal to designate the Hong Kong Police the Royal Hong Kong Police.
I shall be grateful if you will let me know if any progress has been made in this respect.
