on the part of No.10. Mr. Gregson has been informed

that we hope to be in a position to let him have a

reply shortly.

Lord Shepherd would be grateful if the review mentioned in the last sentence of the second para-

graph of the draft could now be undertaken as quickly

as possible. In any event he would like to know

the position by the middle of January 1969.
